We would play Neil Diamond’s classic for our own Caroline when she was a baby. She’d scream her head off.
My dad played it for her during a visit when she was a toddler and she pinched him.
As a preschooler, she’d run out of the room whenever she heard the melody.
So say she did not care much for the song is putting it mildly.
That’s why it was a such big surprise to us when she actually requested the “Caroline” song. She was digging it so much she just had to get up and dance. I guess Neil has grown on her. As Neil would sing, “Where it began, I can’t begin to knowin'”
She only knows two words from the whole song but man can she belt them out!
