Week 16 (April 13th-April 19th): Dancing Queen
Caroline has wanted us to sign her up for dance classes since, well, forever. During school vacation week, she had a chance to try out a class with her Daisy group. To say she had a great time would be an understatement. Years ago, we told her we would discuss dance class when she is six. She’s never forgotten that we said that–which means we have less than three months until decision time. Hmmm, she did look awful happy that day.
Week 14 (March 30th-April 5th): Boston Beginnings
I spent a few nights in Boston. Alone. And it was lovely. But not as lovely as this scene that I captured while on an early morning walk.
The sea returning day by day
Restores the world-wide mart.
So let each dweller on the Bay
Fold Boston in his heart
Till these echoes be choked with snows
Or over the town blue ocean flows.

Week 13 (March 23rd-29th): Here Birdie, Birdie, Birdie
With spring on it’s way (yes, it’s taking its sweet time getting here!) the kids are impatiently waiting for the pool to open. They’ve got a few months to go before we even think about taking the cover off. That’s good news for this little feathery friend. He stops by for drink every day, often multiple times a day. I think when we do finally get around to opening the pool I just might have to invest in a birdbath for this little fellow.
