Week 28 (July 8th-14th): You Say It’s Your Birthday

To say Caroline was excited about her 4th birthday would be an understatement. This girl woke up with a smile and kept it all day.

In the morning, she played with her little brother, watched her favorite new show (Gaspard & Lisa) on Mom and Dad’s bed and was happy to see that Daddy came home early from work to spend the day with her. Lunch out was followed by a surprise trip to the Long Island Aquarium. Naps were skipped and dinner was breakfast, with her favorite: sausage. She ate four links in honor of her birthday.

Then it was presents and playing with new toys. She was positively thrilled with her cake and made a lovely wish: I wish we could all have birthday’s on the same day all year. If this wish comes true her brother will be the happiest kid in the world!

The restaurant we ate at was called Jerry and the Mermaid. Maybe we should rename it Jeff and the Mermaid?
